Lasse Norgaard-Larsen, Director U.S & Canada Continent IT - Marriott, leads Profitability, Franchise Services and Voice Strategy on behalf of the Marriott’s US and Canada continent IT team. He is directly responsible for these services in 5,000+ Hotels and close to 1 million guestrooms.
Lasse and his team defines the voice technology standards for the world’s largest hospitality company. He successfully led the first major hotel chain to successfully implement of Cloud PBX in managed hotels and has since evolved with various different cloud services for voice technology. He also focuses on technologies such as DAS, mobility, vendor management and contract negotiations.
Other areas of responsibility includes leading the relationship between IT and the hundreds of Franchise Management Companies in the US and Canada, representing over 4,500 hotels – and a fast growing segment of the business.
He also leads the HTNG 911 Location Communication Workgroup as a chair, and he is very passionate and vocal about the emergency calling standards for hotels.
When Lasse isn’t dealing with hotels, HTNG, telecom, or 911 location information, he is often found exploring new parts of the world ( he has already checked off all 7 continents), mountain biking, or camping in the Southwestern US.
